How It Works
Botox is an injectable treatment that uses a neuromodulator (botulinum toxin A) to relax wrinkles by temporarily reducing the activity of muscles underneath. It can be used to treat severe face lines and to prevent mild lines from worsening. Over time, the components in Botox break down into harmless amino acids to be excreted or used elsewhere in the body.
You should be able to notice a visible difference in your face lines and crow’s feet in 24 to 48 hours after your injection. Full results tend to appear within 30 days.
Botox results are not permanent, and therefore require maintenance injections. Should you decide to stop your ongoing Botox treatment, your wrinkles will return over time.
